Les Métallos Ring the New Bells of Notre Dame

In 2013, Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris will undergo a great change: the bells of the North Tower and the great bell of the South Tower will be put back in their original place.

This event, which takes place as part of the 850th anniversary of the famous French cathedral, will mean that the cathedral will once again ring with the sound of its original bells. Indeed, the bells of Notre-Dame de Paris were melted down during the French Revolution. Only the great bell Emmanuel remained there, until now.

This restoration now means that Parisians and visitors alike can enjoy the sound of the bells just as they sounded in 1686. A momentous event!
